Nature
Undeniably, one of the first things people seek when on an Everest Trek is to marvel at the region's nature. The characteristics that trekkers will cross vary greatly throughout all the trekking to Everest base camp packages we offer. From the lush green forests of the lower Khumbu region, the dry and rocky terrain of the Gokyo region, and the icy moraines of the Ngozumpa glacier. Suppose you choose one of the Everest treks, including a visit to Gokyo. In that case, you can also enjoy the six pristine Gokyo Lakes and the unique turquoise waters that the mighty Himalayas have surrounded for centuries. Every Everest trekking package includes walks through rhododendron-filled forests and oak and pine-filled woods. Some Everest treks even include trips to national parks that host flora and fauna seen nowhere else. Here you can see deer, wild boar, and even snow leopards! From frost to moss-covered paths and steep hills to staggering slopes, routes are always varied and often involve following the river or crossing one of the many suspension bridges. So no matter how difficult the trek may get or how long you have been walking, you can always be sure that the wildly varying landscapes around you will keep you entertained and fascinated.
Culture
The cultural journey begins as soon as you touch down in Nepal. All our trips include exploring the country's bustling Capital, Kathmandu. With a host of World UNESCO sights, including Patan Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Boudha Stupa, and Swyambhunath, there is abundant culture to explore. After visiting these ancient spots and soaking in the chaos of the Capital, you are whisked away to the Himalayas, where, whichever trek you choose, you will be taken into a different type of culture. As you move throughout your tour, you'll find that each village hosts entirely different traditions; due to our guides and their history in the area, we can ensure that all trekkers on our trip are always given the warmest of welcomes. Trekking in Nepal typically takes you to Namche Bazaar, a famous Sherpa settlement aptly named 'The Gateway to Everest.' It can also take you to Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorak Shep, Dhole, Luza, Machhermo, and Gokyo Valley – one of the highest settlements in Nepal.
Spirituality
As you enjoy the culture, food, and traditions of the various villages and people within them, it is impossible to miss the spirituality seeped into every aspect of an Everest Trekking Trip. The Himalayas themselves are sacred, as are the lakes and all other surrounding them. Every journey involves at least one visit to a monastery, one of the most notable being the ancient Buddhist Tengboche Monastery, nestled amidst the peaks of some of the World's most famed mountains. Meet monks who live up in the mountains, listen to their prayers, and soak in their culture. EBC trek is also peppered with Gompas and crisscrossed with multicolored prayer flags. And depending on the trip, you may even see ancient Mani walls built with prayer-inscribed stones, which is why the base camp trek is popular.
Mountains
Of course, however, one of the most exciting aspects enticing anyone to trek in Nepal is the mountains. Standing at a mighty 8848m, Everest is the highest. Whether you trek to Everest base camp or observe it at sunrise from one of the many beautiful viewing points that mark each journey, any Everest Trek will always include the presence of the mighty mountain itself. However, it most definitely is not the only peak there is to delight at, as all of our trekking packages include journeys that take in views of Cho Oyu (8201m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8481m), Amadablam (6812m), Kusum Kangaru (6370m), Thamserku (6618m), Kantega (6783m), Ama Dablam (6814m), Island peak (6165m), Lhotse (8516m), Nuptse (7864m), Taboche Peak (6495m), and Kwangde (6187m), to name but a few.
Variety
Everest Trekking remains the most famous amongst all demographics because of the variety on offer. There are so many packages to choose from. Some seek joy in soaking in the culture of the wildly varying villages and the traditions of the people that live within them. Others wish to incorporate a spiritual journey into their adventure and revel in the monasteries, gompas, mani walls, and prayer flags crisscrossing every path.
