We take off from Lukla Airport after refuelling and fly to Kala Patthar. The flight takes place for about 15 minutes. We will now be flying above 5,500 meters. According to flight regulations, 4-5 individuals must be split into two. The famed Namche Bazaar will be flown over as we discover all the secret rivers, stunning flora, and animals of Sagarmatha National Park.
Important: If the weight exceeds 220kg, a shuttle flight to Pheriche is necessary because loading at Kala Patthar is not allowed for loads beyond that weight.
Stopover and sightseeing in Kala Patthar (If requested)
If asked, we will make a brief 10-minute halt at Kala Patthar. This is because our bodies cannot adjust to the abrupt change from 1,400m in Kathmandu to nearly 5,500m in only a few hours. However, it is enough to capture some great photos and savour a close-up perspective of Everest.
Due to the windy conditions and high altitude, the landing at Kala Patthar cannot last 10 minutes, and the helicopter engine will not be turned off.
Return flight to Hotel Everest View (Syangboche)
